Job Title: District Health Officer

Reports to : Chief Administrative Officer
Age limit; 21 years, and above

Duties:
* Planning, coordinating and directing the delivery of health services in the district.
* Interpreting the national. health policy and tendering advice on health related issues to the district management and Council.
*Liaising with other stakeholders in the health and other sectors for the efficient delivery of health sciences.
* Planning foe, and ensuring implementation of health research plus in the district.
* Managing and accounting for the financial and physical resources of the department.
* Managing periodic assessment of all health staff.

Person Specifications:
* Must have MBChB or BDS or its equivalent from a recognized University/Institute.
* Should have working experience of at least 9 years with wide broader exposure to both clinical practice and health services management.
* Should have leadership, managerial and planning skills and the ability to coach and develop high caliber professionals.
* Should have well developed interpersonal skills.
