Job Title: Project Assistant DANIDA SRH Project
Location: Kitgum District
Reporting to: Project Officer

Job Objective
Reporting to the Project Officer, the Project Assistant will be responsible for coordination, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the DAN1DA Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH) Project in Kitgurn and Gulu Districts with overall technical support from the Project Officer.

Description of duties
* Develop project work plans, track project progress, and prepare reports on deliverables.
* Support the development of information, education and communication (IEC) materials, training manuals and other relevant project documents.
* Support the capacity development and training of community health workers including
SRH Sexuality Knowledge for Youth (SKY) Club leaders, midwives and traditional birth attendants, peer educators; youth, and other community leaders.
*Support the coordination of in and out-of-school youth activities that address sexual and reproductive health needs.
*Work closely with health workers and other relevant actors at the community level to improve the delivery of SRH information and services.
* Contribute to the documentation and sharing of best practices and lessons learned.
? Identify and facilitate the development of advocacy strategies lo address cross-cutting concerns of communities, beneficiaries, local government, and health workers.
? Facilitate capacity building of health personnel in SRH and provision of youth friendly
? Support coordination, monitoring, implementation and evaluation of project activities.
? Support the development of organizational capacity for gender-mainstreaming and right based programming in coordination with the project team.
? Promote male involvement in SRH activities and service uptake.
* Strengthen the health management system from the community to district level through improved data collection, reporting, and referral efforts.
? Promote positive, sustained behavior change regarding critical SRH issues among beneficiaries and health workers.
* Conduct supervisory visits to project sites and provide feedback to relevant parties.
* Facilitate and participate in operational research and monitoring and evaluating project activities

Qualifications and experience
? A degree in Health, Social Sciences Development studies or closely related field
*A minimum of 3 years experience implementing SRH activities with the main focus on women and youths in rural communities in international NGO settings.
