Organisation: National Drug Authority (NDA)Reports to: Regional Inspector of DrugsThe National Drug Authority (NDA) is an autonomous body which was established by the National Drug Policy and Authority Act Cap 206 , Laws of Uganda (2000 Edition) to regulate Human and Veterinary Medicines and other healthcare products. NDA’s mandate is to ensure quality, safety and efficacy of human and veterinary medicines and other healthcare products through the regulation and control of their production, importation, distribution and use.Key Duties and Responsibilities:  Perform general secretarial duties including minute taking, and circulating/follow up on relevant actionOrganize and maintain the office diary of schedules and make arrangements for meetings.Monitor and supervise the proper use of office equipment, furniture and fittings and report any breakdowns for maintenance or replacementOversee and account for office equipment, materials and imprest.Maintain filing systems for incoming and out-going mails of both confidential and routine correspondenceDraft correspondences as required by the supervisorReceive and disseminate correspondences, mails and other information to relevant partiesManage subordinate support staff attached to the office.Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor from time to timeQualifications, Skills and Experience:  The applicant must hold a good diploma in Secretarial Studies, Office Management or closely related field from a recognized institutionA minimum of five years’ experience handling similar duties in a reputable organization.Computer literacy skills i.e. Certificate in the use of computer software (Word, Excel, Access, Publisher, etc) in support of secretarial work.Computer literacy skills i.e. Proficiency in Microsoft office applications,Excellent command of both written and spoken EnglishExcellent planning and organization skillsMust be a strong team playerHighly flexible to work under tight deadlinesEffective communication and coordination skillsPossession of a degree in the above field(s) is an added advantageWorking knowledge of basic financial management principlesBasic supervisory skillsAll suitably qualified and interested candidates are encouraged to send their handwritten application letters with a detailed CV and copies of academic certificates and transcripts, contact addresses and day time telephone numbers of three (3) work related referees; should be submitted to the Executive Secretary/Registrar,Deadline: 25th July 2014 by 5PM For More Ugandan Jobs, Please Visit http://www.theugandanjobline.com or find us on our facebook page https://www.facebook.com/UgandanJobline
