POST: EDUCATION OFFICER (INSPECTORATE)

AGE: 28 years and above

Minimum Qualifications: The applicant should be a Ugandan of
? A Degree Education
? Communication and interpersonal relationship skills.
? Organizational and analytical skills.
? Requires two years experience in teaching/training.

DUTIES:
? Advising and guiding Head teachers and schools management committees on all aspects of running the schools/institutions in the specific sub-sector,
? Preparing and forwarding reports and recommendations on matters regarding Teacher's discipline to the District Service Com mission,
? Monitoring and reporting on the performance of Teachers.
? Reviewing and advising on the appointment of School Management Committees or board of Governors.
? Processing teacher applications for professional development.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Ugandans to fill the posts specified herein. Applications should be submitted in triplicate [3 copies) on PSF For 3 (PSF 3) (Revised 2008) to the Secretary, Rukungiri District Service Commission P. 0. Box 1, Rukungiri to reach him not later than 26th Nov 2010

Application Forms (PSF 3 and ESC Form No.3 (1998) in case of teachers) are attainable from the office of the Secretaries of District Service Commission Country wide and the Public Service Commission Kampala, Hand written applications, also in triplicate, are acceptable. Candidates should NOT attach original but only 3 Photostat copies of Certificates/Diploma/Degrees, Testimonials plus 3 coloured recent passport size photographs. Applications should bear the title of the post as well as the reference Number specified against vacancy. Serving Officers are advised to route their application through their Heads of Department and must be informed of the closing date to avoid delay.
