The National Planning Authority (NPA) is a Constitutional and Statutory Agency established by the NPA (Act 15 of 2002) in accordance with Article 125 of the Constitution of the Republic of Uganda

Post: Senior Officer-corporate Governance
Reports to: Manager - Governance
Job Location: Kampala

Main purpose of the Job
Working with governance stakeholders to ensure monitoring the implementation of all aspects of Corporate Governance in both the National Development Plan and the African Peer Review Mechanism Programme of Action.

Key Responsibilities He/She will:
* Ensure implementation of Corporate Governance issues in the National Development Plan;
*Ensure shared national indicators for Corporate Governance are in place for monitoring progress;
* Work with the sector focal points and local government structures to ensure that the POA prioritized actions and indicators in the Corporate Governance thematic area are incorporated in the sector strategic plans, annual budgets and work plan
* Any other duties as may be assigned by the Executive Director through the Manager Governance

Performance -Indicators -Targets
* Annual Reports for Corporate Governance
*Agreed list of priority actions to be implemented during the NDP period highlighting the roles of various stakeholders
* Review report on POA activities aligned to the National budget priorities

Preferred Qualifications
Post Graduate Degree and specialization in the areas of Economics, Law, Management, Development Planning, and good governance. At least 5 years of experience carrying out research in the fields of commercial enterprises and management, corporate regulatory frameworks, corporate social responsibility, environmental management, human and labour laws, business ethics and integrity.
