Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants should be Ugandans holding a diploma in Science Laboratory technology or food processing. Training in food analysis and good laboratory practices (GLP) and training or experience in ISO/IEC 17025:2005 requirements and quality control and good computer skills are desirable.

Duties:

The successful candidate will be responsible to the Laboratory Manager in performance of the following duties:
i. Performing sample analysis
ii. Prepare media and perform for analysis,
iii. Responsible for routine equipment checks
iv. Any other duty assigned.

The Permanent secretary wishes to invite suitably qualifies candidates to fill the following vacant posts at the secretariat. Applications should be filled on Public Service form 3 (Revised) and submitted to the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture, animal Industry and Fisheries P.O. Box 2, Entebbe not later than 29th October 2010. The forms can be obtained from the Public Service Commission, Ministry of Agriculture Headquarters and government ministries and departments. Applicants who will not hear from the ministry on completion of the recruitment and selection exercise should consider themselves unsuccessful.
