POST : RECORDS OFFICER
REF: HRM/EOC/2010/11 Salary : Uganda Government Scale U4
Reports to: Senior Personnel Officer
Minimum Qualifications
(i) an Honors Bachelors Degree in either Library and Information Science or Records and Archives Management from a recognized University, (ii) A minimum of two (2) years working experience at the level of a Records Officer, in Government or equivalent experience from a reputable organization.
(iii) The following competencies are required:-
a) Records and information management
b) Computer literacy
c) Communicating efficiency
d) Ethics and Integrity
Duties and Responsibilities
(i) Handling and ensuring safety of records in the Commission (ii) Ensuring proper classification and management of mail and other records, (iii) Initiating/creating name files, (iv) Identifying weaknesses in records and Information management and taking corrective measures, (v) Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
