POST : SENIOR RESEARCH OFFICER
REF: HRM/EOC/2010/04
Salary: Uganda Government Scale U3
Reports to: Principal Research 'Officer
Minimum Qualifications
(i) An Honors Bachelors Degree in Social Sciences or Social Work and Social Administration (SWASA) from a recognized Institution.
(ii) Post graduate qualification with research methods as a subject will be an added advantage.
(iii) A minimum of three (3) years relevant working experience at the level of Research Officer in Government or equivalent level of experience in a reputable organization.
(iv) The following Competencies are required:
a. Equal opportunities analysis
b. Communicating effectively (especially listening skills)
c. Research and information management d. Computer Literacy
e.Ethics and Integrity
Duties and Responsibilities
(i) Initiating and conducting research relevant to the mandate of the commission.
(Ii)Analyzing the findings and making recommendations,
(iii) Studying and identifying relevant issues from research conducted by other Agencies,
(iv) Developing acceptable project proposal/s research tools and instruments for approval by the Commission, (v) Compiling and submitting research and periodic reports, (vi) Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
