The Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries received government of Uganda funds for the Support to Fisheries Regulation and Control activities of the Fisheries Department. The funds among other things are to support a secretariat to handle the compilation and interpretation of Fisheries Regulation and Control information/data.
POST: INFORMATION/DATA ANALYST
Age: 20 - 45 Years
Salary scale: U5
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants should be Ugandans holding diploma in Information Technology (IT), Computer Science or statistics. Certificates in STATA or CS Pro will be an added advantage.
Duties: The successful candidate will be responsible to the Project Coordinator in performance of the following duties: Taking the overall responsibility of analyzing, interpreting and writing reports pertaining to the data entered and analyzed.
ii. Facilitating the dissemination of information of regulation unit activities by local and international media through various communication channels such as radio/TV broad casting, feature writing and press releases,
ill. Facilitate networking and creating awareness of best practices for value added product production and marketing.
iv. Upgrading the Department of Fisheries Resources website through promoting use of innovative approaches to website interaction.
v. Any other duty assigned.
The Permanent secretary wishes to invite suitably qualifies candidates to fill the following vacant posts at the secretariat. Applications should be filled on Public Service form 3 (Revised) and submitted to the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture, animal Industry and Fisheries P.O.
