POST: PERSONNEL OFFICER
REF: HRM,'EOC/2010/10 Salary: Uganda Government Scale U4
Reports to: Senior Personnel Officer
Minimum Qualifications
i. Applicants should have Either An Honors Bachelors Degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Social Work and Social Administration and Management or Business Studies /Administration/ Commerce (Management or /Human Resource Management (HRM) option) or Arts or Social Sciences or Development Studies or Management Science or International Business or any other Social Sciences with HRM/Personnel Management as one of the core subjects from a recognized University/Institution.
ii. A minimum of two (2) years working experience at the level of Personnel Officer, in Government or equivalent experience from a reputable organization,
iii. The following competencies are required:
a. Human resource management,
b. Records and information management
c. Communicating effectively,
d. Managing employee performance
e. Ethics and integrity
Duties and responsibilities
(i) Managing information related to recruitment, salary changes, personnel statistics and job analysis.
(ii) Drafting letters of appointment, promotion and confirmation
(iii) Helping in assessing benefits.
(iv) Collecting data and other vital statistics relating to Human Resource Management.
(v) Counseling and tendering appropriate advice and guidance to staff.
(vi) Compiling and submitting periodic reports. (vii)Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
