Job Title : Technical Sales Representative, Animal Nutrition

Reports to : Sales Manager

Supervises : None

JOB PURPOSE:
To plan and carry out Marketing, Sales and Distribution activities to grow sales volumes of Animal Nutrition products.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS:

? Delivery of sales volume targets as discussed and agreed on with the Supervisor
? Creating awareness among all stakeholders – farmers, stockists, and distributors about the products on the market.
? Training of farmers and other people through provision of technical guidance on how the products can be utilized and on new agricultural technologies and modern animal production methods.
? Creation of quarterly and annual progressive reports on trend of sales and other relevant tasks.
? Planning and monitoring of related assigned duties.
? Stock monitoring and evaluation to ensure quality and integrity.

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Graduate level in Animal production, Agri-Business Management, BVM
• Knowledge in feed formulation is an added advantage.
• Minimum one (1) years relevant experience in managing distributors; wholesalers; or retail operations in an FMCG environment
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office tools
• Excellent sales and negotiation skills; good communication and ‘people skills’; good organisational and time management skills
• Confidence; attention to detail; motivation; determination; team player; good business sense and a professional manner
