In addition to fertility treatment, we are the first hospital in Uganda to have carried out Laparoscopic myomectomy (keyhole) surgery. WHI’s mission is to provide patients with high success rates and excellence in fertility, Gynaecology and Maternity care in a manner, which respects people’s dignity and individuality in a safe and high quality environment.Key Duties and Responsibilities: Establish, maintain and coordinate the effective implementation of compliant accounting standards and accounting control procedures for the preparation and provision of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports to management and statutory agencies as per international Accounting Standards and hospital’s policies and procedures.Develop Hospital Financial ManualPreparation, analysis and presentation of comprehensive, timely, reliable and compliant financial reports; analysis of expenditure and revenue trends and recommendation of appropriate budget levels to help guide management in decision- making. Maintain stringent financial controls systems in order to monitor budget against expenses.Manage, train and mentor accounting support staff for continuous improvement of department and its capacity to meet hospital’s financial objectives.Reconcile bank statements, cash receipts and prepare payments for judicious settlement of approved outstanding obligations (internal and external) and provide proper evidence to support all expenditures including forensic audit of all transactions.Design, document, implement and monitor the appropriate internal controls to deliver sound financial management.Perform any other duties and participate in other activities as directed by management.Qualifications, Skills and Experience: The ideal candidate will be a seasoned Finance or Accounting professional A minimum of six or more years’ experience, have very good financial management experience at senior management level, excellent report writing and analytical skills, posses a degree in commerce, accounting or finance, a Masters in Accounting/Business Administration is an added advantage, professional qualifications (CPA and/ CIMA/CIFA or ACCA).
