Convoy Leader – Kampala – Damco Logistics

Job Summary: The Convoy Leader will demonstrate ownership and responsible for Operations activities in the country to ensure a seamless delivery of the products to the customer through the management of drivers and truck movements.


Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· Prepare loading sheets and confirming load accuracy
· In charge of gathering road condition data, milestone activity
· Record/communicate incidents
· Manage drivers and oversee the movement of trucks in line with set objectives
· Prepare and submit daily status reports to internal and external clients


Key Performance Indicators:
· Operational excellence of the convoy
· Safety of convoy
· Proactive and effective communication at all times
· Excellence customer service
· Ensure Good Transit times


Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· The applicant should hold necessary qualifications to perform the duties mentioned above
· Computer literate and proficiency in Microsoft Office
· Excellent communication skills
· Good interpersonal skills
· Excellent problem solving skills
· Proactive and a good team player
· Basic knowledge of spoken Swahili Language
· Good written and spoken English
· A good team member that actively promotes the company culture and values.
