region. Movit Products Ltd, a cosmetic manufacturing company was formed after a

careful assessment of the community development needs, a feeling of Ugandans as

well as a trend in global development.


Job Summary: The Learning

and Development Manager will primarily be responsible for the oversight,

coordination and control of the learning and development infrastructure of the

organization to build the knowledge and skill base required to support

sustained organizational effectiveness and achievement of the organization

goals.


Key Duties and Responsibilities: 


·        
In charge of designing, implementing and evaluating

the annual training plan and the corresponding budget in relation to the

organization strategic intent;


·        
Work in liaison with key heads of departments across

the organization to conduct Training Needs Analysis at the organizational, task

and individual levels to derive the learning needs of the organization in relation

to its strategic intent;


·        
Keenly analyze training needs to develop new

training programs/manuals and conduct internal on-going trainings for

employees;


·        
The incumbent plan and organize the logistics of all

training events, and take full responsibility for the training centre of the

organization and all its facilities;


·        
Actively coordinate orientation programmes, and

initiative new staff into the culture of the organization;


·        
Responsible for documenting all training information

and data of the organization, and maintain an up-to-date record of the same in

the HRIS, whilst providing regular management reports on training activities;


·        
The incumbent will identify, select and manage

relationships with internal and external training providers to deliver training

solutions to acceptable standards; and


·        
Evaluate the performance of the trainers and the

effectiveness of training programs.


Qualifications, Skills and

Experience: 


·        
The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor’s degree

in Human Resources Management, Organizational and Industrial Psychology or any

other related field from a reputable University.


·        
Possession of a Post graduate diploma in Human

Resource Management will be an added advantage


·        
Five years’ experience in learning and development,

training, capacity building and such related areas in a busy work environment.


·        
Excellent track record in designing, coordinating, delivering

and evaluating organization-wide training solutions


·        
Broad knowledge and understanding of the training

process and understanding of key concepts and trends in managing learning


·        
Excellent analytical skills, strategic and business

acumen, along with good consulting skills


·        
Good training and coaching skills


·        
Excellent presentation, verbal and written

communication skills


·        
Excellent planning, organization and follow up

skills


·        
Good decision-making, negotiation, people management

and problem solving skills


·        
Good teamwork and interpersonal skills, with ability

to influence key people inside and outside the company.


·        
Ability to work under pressure, and in fast paced

and results driven environment
