POST: SENIOR ASSISTANT SECRETARY
REF: HRM/EOC/2010/08
Salary: Uganda Government Salary U3
Reports to: Under Secretary -Finance and Administration
Minimum Qualifications
(i)- An Honors Bachelors Degree in either Arts or Social Sciences from a recognized University/Institution,
(ii) A certificate in Administrative Officers Law Course from Law Development Centre.
(iii) Postgraduate qualifications in Public Administration or Management will be an added advantage.
(iv) A minimum of three (3) years working experience at the level of Assistant Secretary/Administrative Officer, in Government or equivalent experience from a reputable organization.
(v) The following Competencies are required:
a. Facilities and assets management
b. Planning coordinating and organizing
b. Computer literacy
d. Communicating effectively
e. Ethics and integrity
Duties and Responsibilities
(i) Managing the Commission's property
(ii) Coordinating the administration of entitlements to Commission Members and Officials, (iii) Administering logistics in the Commission, (iv) Taking minutes during staff meetings and ensuring their distribution, (v) Ensuring the availability, proper use and
maintenance of utilities, (vi) Supervising and managing the performance of subordinate staff.
(vii)Compiling and submitting periodic reports, (viii) Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
