We are seeking a Product Manager to develop specifications and lead the development of custom and batch reporting tools that leverage the Thomson Reuters suite of Portfolio Analytics software. As part of the Portfolio Analytics Group in San Francisco, the Product Manager is responsible for the prioritization, definition and delivery of new tools within the group and other Thomson Reuters groups as well as with partners.

Primary responsibilities:

* Research and understand portfolio and security data content sets to develop detailed product specifications and project schedules based on business requirements
* Ensure proper resource availability to meet project schedules
* Communicate feature and schedule changes to upper management
* Coordinate product features and specifications, working with software developers, product managers, quality assurance engineers, and content teams
* Perform acceptance testing on developed features to ensure all business and functional requirements have been met
* Act as an internal liaison to portfolio services teams that leverage these tools

This position is located in San Francisco, CA.

Qualifications

Required:

* Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Economics, or related field
* Minimum 1-3 years experience in the investment management industry
* Good understanding of securities data and investment management
* Must be a self-starter who is able to overcome challenges and drive for results
* Excellent communications skills
* Experience in financial reporting or in building automated reporting systems

Desired:

* Previous product management experience
* Experience with portfolio management/accounting systems
* The ideal candidate has 2-3 years experience in product management, 2-3 years in the financial services industry, familiarity with securities, and using SQL.
