Department Description Motorola's Sunnyvale group is responsible for MOTOBLUR: an innovative cloud-assisted solution to manage and integrate messaging, social networking, and other web services. Since its release in October 2009, MOTOBLUR has been a huge success in both international carrier deployments and with significant North American carrier deployments such as T-Mobile, Verizon, and AT&T. Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations
Mobile Applications is looking for a senior developer to create our next generation of applications, home screens, and widgets. We are looking for talent, ambition, and a proven track record of shipping high quality products. The ideal candidate will not only excel in the technical aspects of the job, but also make a substantive contribution to user design and product definition.

In addition to operational responsibilities (coding and design), you will also be collaborating closely with engineering leadership, product management, product design, and customers to develop our roadmap for 2011 and beyond.

Specific Knowledge/Skills
• Minimum 5+ years developing software
• Minimum 3+ years desktop or mobile application programming
experience
• Minimum 2+ years experience with consumer facing UI development
• Track record of shipping high quality software products (planning,
development, end game)
• Feature specification writing
• Solid work estimation
• Product and user focus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
