Responsibilities

Identifies key business and technology drivers that impact application architectures, such as end-user community requirements, existing software distribution capabilities, existing application environment (including legacy and packaged systems), and performance and availability requirements. Translates project requirements into detailed designs to be implemented while balancing needs for immediate action and the point of arrival (POA) vision.

Designs architectures which account for legacy and packaged systems. Designs external system interface architecture, including appropriate application of techniques and standards such as service-oriented architecture, web services, etc.

Translates project requirements into detailed designs to be implemented while balancing needs for immediate action and the POA vision. Ensures that user requirements are sufficient to solution and provides guidance to project teams regarding guiding principles, system and application design, enterprise coding and design standards, best practices, and system performance and availability.
