SUMMARY:

This role is a key member of the communications team who knows what it takes to implement communications initiatives that enhance and maintain the Travelers reputation and brand. The individual will be required to provide counseling on communications to management to support key business objectives and to demonstrate the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.


PRIMARY DUTIES:

Be able to translate and adapt traditional and evolving communications and marketing methodologies to support the business needs. Responsible for development and execution of a wide range of editorial projects for external and internal audiences. Writes and edits departmental publications and monthly news magazines. Be a partner with business units and staff departments to strategize and develop communications that support specific company initiatives.


Develop communications to help business partners and producers effectively, efficiently, and profitably sell the company's products and services and retain customers (examples include sales support software, point of sale brochures, sales incentive programs, direct mail programs, training programs, etc.)


Facilitate the change management function by assessing stakeholder needs and developing communication plans to meet those needs, and help accomplish desired change. Develop communication plans to ensure all division messages reinforce one another, all communications media are leveraged for maximum effectiveness, and all communications support the accomplishment of company objectives.


Develop, manage and implement creative communication and marketing solutions using communications technology (in particular, digital) to advance company objectives. Recommends and implements changes as appropriate.


Prepare publication materials, employee communications, newsletters, bulletins, and informational materials for internal or external audiences. Typically, this individual will be expected to research subject matter to write requested communications and will work with more senior/experienced staff to finalize.


EDUCATION/COURSE OF STUDY:

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English or related field is preferred. Prefer three to seven years of
