VMWare is seeking a Senior Manager of Desktop Solutions Marketing to drive creation of integrated campaigns for VMware solutions that make desktop virtualization more flexible and adaptable to the needs of individuals and organizations. This position allows individuals with a software product marketing or technical system engineering background to work with our customers to identify high-impact virtualization use cases and critical product features, as well as partner components and other elements necessary to bring those solutions to market. The successful candidate will be able to work with a virtual team of functional marketing experts, field sales support and VMware partner managers to create and manage integrated go-to-market plays and create solution specific content that deliver incremental revenue opportunities to our sales force and channel partners. This is a great opportunity to gain functional expertise working across the mix of marketing disciplines on a global basis, including media relations, awareness, partner integration, demand generation and field enablement, while also establishing their reputation as an industry thought leader on how virtualization enables the next generation user and management capabilities for End User Computing.
Job Responsibilities:
- Identify, analyze and document relevant customer use cases, benefits and market opportunities among current and potential desktop virtualization customers
- Become the subject matter expert within VMware on the desktop virtualization & collaboration space, buyer and our go-to-market strategy for maximizing revenue and strategic influence with that audience
