In 2013, we reached over 143 million children through our work around 52m directly and 91 million indirectly around the world.

Save the Children seeks to fill the following vacant positions and applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced Persons for the humanitarian/emergency response operations.

Integrated Manager (1 Position); Wakiso

Job Purpose:
The Integrated Manager is responsible for providing leadership and management of all Save the Children Programmes (Sponsorship funded and other Grants) in the Wakiso Sponsorship Impact Area ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in programme delivery in line with Donor expectations and SCI policy guidelines and provisions. He or she will ensure complete participation of children and communities in the programme and will manage programmes in a holistic and integrated manner to leverage on available and potential synergies. The post holder may be called upon as and when necessary to support the emergency team in cases of humanitarian crisis.

Academic back ground, Experience & Person Specifications;
- Minimum of a Bachelor degree in Education, social science or related discipline.
- At least 5 years working experience in development programmes of managing child sponsorship is essential.
- Experience of working with local partners and District Local Government in Sponsorship, Health, Education, HIV/AIDS or Child Protection program delivery.

General specifications applicable to all positions;
- Thorough understanding of Save the Children working principles and approaches of Child Participation, Child Rights Programming, Partnership, Child Safeguarding, Zero Tolerance, Monitoring and Evaluation, Programme Integration etc.
- Demonstrable financial, planning and budget management skills a MUST. Highly developed cultural awareness and ability to work well in an international environment with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures
- Demonstrated knowledge of international and local policies and frameworks relating to their thematic area is a must.
- Ability to intervene with crisis management or troubleshooting as necessary.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills including influencing, negotiation and coaching
- Excellent time management and planning capacity
- Excellent planning, coordination and reporting skills, with the ability to organize a substantial workload comprised of complex, diverse tasks and responsibilities
- Computer literacy and excellent documentation skills are a must.
- Availability and willingness to work extra hours during times of humanitarian responses as called upon.
