projects. A fully owned subsidiary of Vidullanka PLC, Vidul Construction (Pvt)

Ltd specializes in designing and construction of mini-hydro power projects. As

a Sri Lankan based renowned hydropower company, We believe in making a

difference for the future of our planet and our long term strategies are woven

around this belief. We are now well placed to deliver the same corporate values

in Uganda through our first Ugandan subsidiary Muvumbe Hydro (U) Limited. Vidullanka

are ready to develop 6.5 Mw Muvumbe small hydro power project in Maziba

Sub-country in Kabale District.


Job Summary: The incumbent will actively participate in

promoting occupational health and safety within an organization by ensuring

that workplace conform to organizational procedures and safety

standards/regulations. The Health and Safety Officer will focus on areas such

as inspect workplace and equipment, ensure PPE is being used according to

regulations, ensure an organization complies with all legislations identify and

testing work areas for potential accidents and health hazards, conduct regular

site inspections, keep workers, supervisors informed often communicate

frequently with management to report on the status of health and safety,

conduct health awareness programs to site employees and community, keep proper

records on accidents, hazards and health issue of workers and attending for an

emergency.


Qualifications, Skills and

Experience: 

  • The

    Health and Safety Officer should possess have three years’ experience in

    international occupational health, safety guidelines and best practices

  • The

    applicants should be up to date with new legislations to maintain working

    knowledge of all health and safety.

  • Prior

    experience in First Aid would be an added advantage.
