Job Summary: The Assistant
Manager – Industrial Relations & Employee Relations will oversee the
day-to-day activities of HR- function and strategic support of employee and
industrial relations programs for the organization.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:

The incumbent will design, plan, and implement the
organization’s employee and industrial relations programs, policies, and
procedures; ensuring policies are consistently applied as they relate to
employee relations.
·
Regularly investigate and resolve employee and
industrial relations issues, which include analyzing evidence, applying
relevant laws, policies, and precedents in order to reach conclusions.
·
Prepare and submit written case summaries and
provide decisions and recommendations for corrective action.
·
The applicant should maintain good communication and
a positive relationship with employees to promote employee satisfaction and
ensuring a positive working environment.
·
Provide expert advice, counseling and guidance to
all levels of management and staff on company policies and procedures
·
Ensure that all employment standards and
legislations such as workers compensation and other related labour standards
are followed
·
In charge of the planning, developing and
implementing staff welfare services and facilities in line with the policy.
·
Actively participate in the formulation of annual
work plan and budgetary estimates for the human resource section.
·
The incumbent also oversees employee exits and draws
out the retirement plan of staff.
·
Participate in the staff benefit and compensation
processing
·
Make recommendations for changes to existing
policies to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
·
The job holder will manage employment legal issues
·
Manage and monitor staff attendance &
punctuality on all days including Sunday
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
·
The ideal candidate should preferably hold a
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or its equivalent
·
At least four years’ HR related experience
·
Proven ability to influence, communicate and build
relationships at all levels.
·
Strong conflict management skills.
·
Computer literacy i.e. proficiency in Microsoft
Office, HRIS and applicant tracking system.
·
Working knowledge of employment act, and other
labour laws, regulations and guidelines
·
Must be detail oriented, possess demonstrated
excellent written, verbal and facilitation skills and possess the ability to
maintain confidential matters and be comfortable interacting with all levels
within the organization.
·
Proven ability to effectively lead and manage change
and transition, critical thinking, organization, strong analytical and
problem-solving.
·
Excellent communication skills, both oral and
written, with an impressive reputation for building and maintaining
relationships with people at all levels of an organization and across a diverse
range of backgrounds.
