Production Activity Project (FtF)

Since 1963 and in 146
countries, ACDI/VOCA has empowered people in developing and transitional
nations to succeed in the global economy. Based in Washington, D.C., ACDI/VOCA
is a nonprofit international development organization that delivers technical
and management assistance in agribusiness, financial services, enterprise
development, community development and food security in order to promote
broad-based economic growth and vibrant civil society. ACDI/VOCA currently has
approximately 60 projects in 30 countries and total revenues of $173 million.
ACDI / VOCA will implement an
anticipated large, multi-year USAID-funded project, the Feed the Future Uganda
Producer Organizations Activity Project. Together with local and international
partners and in support of USAID/Uganda’s Feed the Future (FtF) initiatives,
ACDI/ VOCA’s program will work to strengthen the governance, management,
service delivery and local level advocacy capacities of producer organizations
(POs) within the FtF zone of influence in order to;
1)
Increase
the involvement of POs in business-oriented activities along the value chains
2)
Improve
PO governance and management structures that efficiently and effectively
provide services responsive to the needs of their members
3)
Improve
the agricultural enabling environment at the local government level.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- The
incumbent will be responsible for the design and implement a beneficiary
tracking database system to collect, process and manage project data. - Use
M&E indicators to report on project quarterly, semiannually and
annually. - Organize
with donor agency to document and report qualitative data to measure
impact according to gender. - Take
part in knowledge management system to capture relevant formal and
informal information that will inform decisions, support project reporting
requirements and foster learning within the project. - Keenly
track and analyze project indicators and other useful statistics and
prepare high-quality and timely reports using the recommended formats and
communication channels. - Participate
in evaluations, selected research activities and baseline surveys by
providing the necessary program and organizational support.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
- The
applicant should preferably hold a Master’s degree in Economics,
Statistics or related field is required. - At
least three years’ experience in the design and operation of monitoring
and evaluation systems. - Proven
ability to apply analytical methods practically in the complex setting of
the day-to-day lives of project beneficiaries highly preferred.
