compliance with the bank's mission, business plan, set targets and, lending policies and procedures.To ensure overall coordination of the agribusiness unit functions.· Develop guidelines and review agricultural business growth targets /trends and set benchmarks for the bank in line with the banks business plan.· Systematically identify and recommend to the bank potential bankable agricultural vale chains and oversee the development of appropriate financial products for them.· Monitor the quality of the of the agricultural loan portfolio, coordinate recovery of written off loans and report on compliance in line with the business plan and the credit policies· Develop, coordinate the implementation, monitor and evaluate agricultural lending programmes and work plans in line with the banks business plan.· Develop and review work systems, processes and policies for agricultural lending and make reports to management in line with the banks business plan of the bank.· Manage the performance and development of staff in the agribusiness unit in line with the set Human Resource guidelines.· Monitor implementation of the supervision of agricultural lending activities in the bank inline with the banks business plan and credit policies.· Liaise with staff in other departments for the necessary coordination and harmonization of key functions in the bank.Qualifications and competencies required:· An Honour's degree in Agricultural Sciences majoring in Crop Finance, Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics and other relevant course from a recognized University.· Other relevant post graduate qualification in agriculture is added advantage· At least eight years working experience in Agricultural Lending in a regulated Financing Institutions with at least six years at supervision and managerial level· Knowledge of banking experience practices and regulatory requirements· Knowledge of banking practices and regulatory requirements· Good understanding of banking business processes and related risks and controls in a bank· Excellent analytical skills· Investigative skills· Ability to work independently· Good communication and Interpersonal skills· High degree of integrity and confidentiality· Ability to manage several deliverables in a timely and effective manner.As a responsible and equal opportunity employer, the Bank is committed to providing very attractive employment terms, rich career development opportunity, and healthy working environment to deserving professionals with the right qualifications, skills, competencies and experiences.Interested candidates who fully meet the required job specifications and with the right personal attributes are invited to submit their applications to the Senior Manager Human Resource & Admin, not later than 15th April, 2014. at Plot 27, Kampala Road or at admin@trobank.com Applicants should enclose copies of academic transcripts and testimonials, detailed CV giving details of qualifications, experience and three referees.Only short listed candidates will be contacted
