The Uganda Institute of Banking and Financial Services is the body responsible for the provision of professional training and education within the financial sector in Uganda. It is a body corporate, limited by guarantee. It offers both professional and skills courses for both practicing and prospective bankers, as well as for staff of financial institutions in general.The Institute hereby invites applications from interested individuals to fill the position of Microfinance Training Executive.Reporting to the Head of Training, the position is at Senior Officer Level and requires an experienced, aggressive and highly assertive individual with excellent communication skills both oral and written. He /she should be highly organized, with excellent business acumen and a good understanding of the Microfinance subject/sector.1. Coordinate programmes organized by the Microfinance Training Unit2. Develop market oriented microfinance training programmes3. Review and enrich the existing training programmes within the Unit in order to meet the ever-changing clients' needs.4. Contribute to validation meetings on processes, tools and evidence related to the area of Microfinance.5. Control Microfinance training costs within budgetary limits.6. Plan, prepare and manage the delivery of courses in line with the training programme.7. Monitor and review course evaluations by trainees with a view of making improvement.8. Facilitate during training programmes organized by the Unit9. Identify, evaluate and build a database of suitable Associate Trainers to conduct trainings.10. Solicit business from existing and potential clients ( Microfinance Institutions)11. Market the Unit's training activities and programmes.12. Execute Training Needs Assessment within the Microfinance Industry on a regular basis13. Carry out any other duties as may be assigned by Management from time to time.• Good understanding of the Microfinance Sector.• Ability to manage and work with teams and clients.• Ability to manage change initiatives to improve business performance.• Excellent communication and personality skills.• Ability to design appropriate training programmes.• High integrity and strong character.• Ability to supervise and coach staff.Required Qualifications, Competencies and Attributes:• University degree in a relevant field.• Minimum 5 years relevant working experience.• Fluency in spoken/written English.• Proficiency in the usage of common office computer packages.Possession of a Master's Degree in a relevant field or a Professional Qualification from the Institute, as well as relevant working experience in a Banking/Microfinance Institution at a senior level will be an added advantage.Age: Not less than 30 years of age.An attractive remuneration package commensurate with the position will be offered to the successful candidate.Interested persons should submit their applications to the Executive Director, along with copies of academic transcripts and their detailed curriculum vitae, indicating telephone contacts of 3 competent referees not later than 5 P.M, Monday 14th of April 2014.
