AWF is seeking a highly motivated individual to provide administrative, logistical and financial support to its Tourism for Biodiversity Program in Uganda. This position reports to the Program Finance and Administration Officer and will be based in Kampala, Uganda.
·             Support the supervisor in daily, real-time entry of program payables accounting data in Serenic, ensuring monthly close deadlines are adhered to·             Follow-up on invoices with vendors for timely month close program  payments·             Help to prepare and maintain office petty cash  and expense trail for timely monthly report generation·             Work with the supervisor to ensure staff receive the necessary support in planning field/business trips. This includes making flight and hotel reservations as well as process visa applications as required·             Inform the supervisor of upcoming large payments·             Ensure that staff advances are provided timely and closed by staff upon return·             Ensure administrative,  financial and  logistical compliance to USAID rules and regulations·             Provide support in day-to-day front office management this includes making and receiving calls, sharing of messages to staff in a timely manner, facilitating courier services for out-going mail/parcels and ensure efficient tracking·             Provide back-up for team and follow-up on pending procurement tasks·             Provide back-up to Communications Officer on issues relating to arranging meetings within office premises·              Book keeping qualification, minimum CPA1, Office Administration (logistics and procurement)·             At least 2  years relevant experience in a busy office·             Proficiency in the use of computers, especially Microsoft Excel ,word and accounting data bases·             Familiarization with government regulations (Income tax, VAT and duty requirements)·             Prior experience working for USAID programs an added advantage·             Self-driven with high attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines·             Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritization·             Excellent verbal and written communication skills·             Excellent organizational aptitude and coordinating ability·             Ability to assess and react appropriately to changing circumstances·             Ability to work as part of a team in a multicultural environment·             Willingness to travel, sometimes to remote areasIf you are qualified and interested in discussing this engagement in more detail, please submit your resume in confidence to the website on the link below:
