Organisation: Monitor Publications Limited (MPL)Duty Station:  Kampala, UgandaReports to:  Credit ControllerMonitor Publications Limited, a Nation Media Group Company is Uganda’s most influential media house, operating The Daily Monitor and Sunday Monitor newspapers, 93.3KFM, 90.4 Dembe FM, Nation Couriers and the Monitor Business Directory.Job Summary: The Traffic Controller will be responsible for booking all client orders in accordance with specifications and capture revenue for aired advertisements for invoicing within agreed terms and maximise on revenue generation to meet KFM and Dembe FM business objectives. Key Duties and Responsibilities:  Receives space orders from Sates Executives and certifies that the charging rates applied are correctEnsures that the booked adverts are approved by the Commercial Manager- Radio and the Credit ControllerCaptures the revenue in the database and books the approved advertisements for runningPreviews the advertisements, ensures that they meet all the specifications and signs them off for transmissionPreviews the previous day's transmission report to confirm that all booked adverts are actually airedBooks all radio advertisements directly into the Traffic and billing software, ensures that all the booked advertisements have audios, signs them off for airing and checks the next day to ensure they were aired as requiredChecks all the radio adverts aired and takes the space orders to the credit control for invoicingPerform any other duties as assigned by management, especially those related to presenting, producing and musicQualifications, Skills and Experience:  The ideal candidate for the Traffic Controller vacancy should hold a Bachelor's degree in any business-related courseProfessional CPA Level 1 qualificationA minimum of three years' experienceComputer literacy skills especially in PowerPoint, Word and Spread sheets.Excellent analytical skillsHigh standards of personal integrityExcellent report writing skillsHigh business acumen and financial literacyResults oriented attitudeExcellent communication skillsGood planning and organizing skillsStrong follow through to completionAll potential job suitors with a desire to work in one of Uganda’s leading Media Houses, Monitor Publications should express their interest by sending their applications, detailed CVs and academic documents with a working daytime telephone contact to:  The Resourcing  & Talent Management Specialist, Monitor Publications Limited, P.O.
