WellShare International is currently recruiting staff for an anticipated Family Planning/HIV Integration Project in Arua District. WellShare is recruiting for the following position:Job Summary: The Project Driver will drive WellShare Uganda project vehicles for WellShare/Uganda-related business, ensures appropriate usage and maintenance of vehicles and compliance with organizational procedures during implementation of project work.Key Duties and Responsibilities: Drives project vehicles for WellShare/Uganda-related business.Maintains project vehicles, including Washing; Filling fuel; Servicing regularly;Monitoring needed repairs;Taking vehicle to mechanic, as needed, for maintenance/repairs.Submits valid receipts for fuel and vehicle maintenance/repair.Maintaining vehicle logbooks and submitting vehicle reports.Knows and abides by all Uganda driving laws and regulations at all times.Agrees to and follows organizational vehicle and driving policies and procedures, includingProject vehicle use policy,Driving rules and regulations.Occasionally assists program staff with project activities, for example helping count participants at events.Assists program and operational staff with town running and completing errands.Demonstrates transparency and accountability in all areas of work.Performs any other duties as may be assigned by the SupervisorQualifications, Skills and Experience: The Driver must meet a level of qualification and exhibit a mix of skills and capabilities, including:Holds a current, valid Uganda driver’s licensePossess a clean and safe driving recordA minimum of two or more years’ experience driving on all types of roads and various road conditions found in Uganda (i.e. in towns, on highways, on marram roads, through Kampala, in wet and dry seasons, e.t.c)The applicant must also hold an Ordinary Level Certificate of Education.Preferred past experience working with a humanitarian or not-for profit organization.Past mechanical knowledge preferred.Proficiency speaking Lugbara is an added advantage.
