development around the world by strengthening education policy, management and

practice in order to achieve measurable improvement in teaching and learning.

From our well-established reputation in education system strengthening, to innovative

work in early grade assessment and learning, RTI is improving education

quality, relevance and efficiency through implementation of projects funded by

USAID, DFID, Australian Aid and other donors and clients. RTI International is

implementing the Uganda Literacy Achievement and Retention Activity Project

(2015-2020).


Job Summary: The Information and Technology (IT) Manager will

manage IT support to project staff. S/he will primarily ensure that Windows and

other software is maintained and timely updated, and that information is backed

up in accordance with RTI policies and procedures, and development and upkeep

of knowledge management systems. The job holder will provide user support and

ensure compliance with RTI Information Security policies, procedures and

standards.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • The ideal candidate for the USAID Project

    IT Manager vacancy should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science;

  • At least six years’ experience supporting

    Windows PCs, servers, and networks;

  • Past experience in Windows XP /Vista,

    Windows 2003 server / printers etc.

  • Supervisory experience desired;

  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills.
