California with customers across multiple markets and core expertise in power
electronics, product design and base-of-the-pyramid marketing.
Job Summary: The Area Sales Managers will work directly with the
National Sales Manager and the East Africa Sales & Marketing Director to
ensure the Ready Pay brand is strong in the assigned area, generate revenue by
developing market potential through lead generation, and most importantly
closing sales to hit targets as well as support the implementation of
after-sales.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Hit sales targets set for your region
- Complete weekly Sales & Marketing
reports - Establishing, maintaining and expanding
your customer base - In charge of increasing business opportunities
through various routes to market - Actively monitoring your team’s
performance and motivating them to reach targets - Set up and oversee Ready Pay Points of
Sale (POS) - Identify, train and manage a team of
Product Champions in your region - Build and maintain relationships with
managers and staff of Ready Pay Dealers other key partners in your region - Work closely with MTN representatives to
benefit from their additional activities e.g. shows, radio advertising
etc. - Keeping up to date with products and
competitors - Collect, analyze and report product and
customer feedback to contribute directly to Fenix product and business
development strategy - Ensure the Ready Pay brand is strong in
your region - Ensure quality of after-sales services is
exceptional in your region - Responsible for the management of stock
across all POSs ensuring healthy supply for RPCs to access
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate should preferably hold
a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree - A minimum of five years’ experience with
at least three (3) years of sales experience - Past experience working in rural sales
environment - Proven ability to hit sales targets
- Experience with and ability to effectively
manage a team of DSTs - Ability to customize and clearly communicate
the Fenix value proposition, including quantitative and qualitative
benefits to the customer and the consumer, for written and verbal
presentations to all types of stakeholders - Ability to manage inventory and
after-sales services processes - Excellent written and verbal
communications skills in English & key languages spoken in your region
- Ability to learn and share technical
specifications of Fenix products - Computer literacy i.e. Proficiency in
Microsoft Word, Excel & Google Apps
