Job Summary: The Maintenance
Officer will provide routine, planned, preventive service and maintenance as
well as breakdown repair of the plant and equipment in fund offices, building
and rented premises.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:
- Carry out routine inspection of
installations (plant, machinery and equipment) in! NSSF buildings/Offices
to assess repair requirements. - Actively monitor and ensure that all
scheduled maintenance, service and repair of office equipment, building
installations and plants is carried out on time. - Receive and assess complaints or reports
of problems about NSSF Building/ office maintenance issues from tenants
and staff. - Prepare terms of references, scope of work
required, bills of quantities and cost estimates for maintenance and
repair works or services. - Ensure works are completed to the set
standard or with set quality of Materials. - Guide on office space utilization for NSSF
offices - Prepare monthly preventive maintenance
schedules; ensure records are maintained for all work done; prepare
progress reports for maintenance work done for review by the MAS; advise
supervisor of equipment and Maintenance supply needs. - Reconcile utility bills for NSSF offices
and Buildings. - Carry out pre and post repair/maintenance
inspection/verification of maintenance works. - Manage contractors carrying out major and
minor repair work. - Works closely with outsourced property
managers to coordinate repair and maintenance requirements and assess work
done. - Provide technical work guidance to
contractor and/or property agent technicians during repair works. - Work with Landlords to carry out
renovations, maintenance and repair works needed at rented premises. - Ensuring branch offices space
optimization. - Equipment maintenance support for
laminators, generators, fire extinguishers j and air conditioners. - In charge of renovations and restoration
repairs works on the Branch premises. - Receive and assess reports of maintenance
and repair needs from rented offices buildings maintenance issues from
staff. Provide estimates and supervise these works to be completed to a
set standard. - Prepare the budget estimates for the
maintenance and repair services
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
- The ideal candidate should preferably hold
a Higher Diploma in Engineering - At least five years of practical
experience in a busy Real Estate Management firm - Computer literacy skills i.e. IT
proficiency in Word and Excel - Supervisory skills
- Excellent oral and written communication
skills; - Interpersonal skills
- Negotiation Skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Possess some Do-it-yourself (DIY) hands on
skills - Excellent contract management skills
- Possess high levels of initiative,
commitment to work, ability to meet tight deadlines, excellent
communication and interpersonal skills - Be good team players, highly motivated and
capable of working with minimal supervision. - Ability to work independently, produce
results and meet set targets. - Be able to demonstrate high levels of
customer care. - Should not have any criminal record
