headquartered in Toronto, Canada and has regional offices in Africa, Asia, the

Middle East and Latin America and national offices in Canada, the Netherlands,

Norway, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the United States. Our programs are

facilitated by more than 600 international staff and over 13,000 volunteer

Coaches.


Job Summary: The Program

Manager will work to establish a professional field presence in the whole country

and provide oversight for program development, program implementation,

information management, financial management, audit, M & E and capacity

building in accordance with donor and RTP guidelines. The incumbent will also

actively contribute to dissemination of results and project achievements and be

ultimately accountable for program quality assurance, synergy and impact. He /

she will work in liaison with the Country Manager to ensure RTP representation;

donor liaison; fundraising; facilitating RTPs work through partner

organizations; RTP program strategy development.


Key Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Planning: Ensure that operating

    plans are realistic, aligned and consonant with Right To Play’s mission,

    strategic direction delivery model and grant budgets.

  • Program Financial Management:

    Ensure effective program financial management, procurement, project

    implementation, compliances, reporting and support the budget planning

    processes to ensure that project funds are expended efficiently.

  • Document Best Practices and Lessons

    Learned
    : Collaborate with country team to document and communicate

    program management and operational best practices.

  • Proposal Writing: Significantly

    contribute to the proposal writing process, including consultation with

    the Technical Advisor and Line Manager, as well as the teams, ensuring

    alignment with the relevant standards.

  • Research Donor Priorities and

    Opportunities: Keenly track donor priorities, process, trends, changes and

    opportunities and utilize the cycle for implementing projects and

    programs, showing results and subsequently growing donor support.

  • Narrative Reports to Donors:

    Coordinate submission of reports to donors for which HQ is the primary

    contact.

  • Monitoring & Evaluation;

    Maintain special focus on a coherent reporting system, enhancing staff

    M&E capacities.

  • Compliance: Monitor and ensure

    compliance with all donor and other contractual requirements.


Qualifications, Skills and

Experience:  

  • The ideal candidate should preferably hold

    a Master’s Degree in International Development or related field is a must

    with Postgraduate/specialized training in project planning, monitoring and

    evaluation

  • A minimum of five years’ experience in a

    humanitarian or development organization, including at least 3 years of

    field experience.

  • Past experience in developing proposals

    for restricted donors and growing a grant portfolio.

  • Prior experience in managing programs for

    government and non-government donors in the international development

    context.

  • Significant experience in budgeting and

    financial management.
