been appointed by the Ministry of Works and Transport (MoWT) to implement the
Mandatory Vehicle Inspection Services (MVIS) programme involving the
development, installation and operation of vehicle inspection centers on a
national scale to improve road safety by assuring the road worthiness of
vehicles in circulation in Uganda.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
- The
IT Manager should hold a first degree in Computer Science or Information
Technology. Possession of a master’s degree in management information
systems will be added advantage - Professional
certification in an Information Technology related discipline - Five
or more years’ experience in an information technology function; four of
these years must be in a managerial role - Past
experience with TCP/IP protocols, LAN and WAN, Active Directory Services,
Web Service technologies for data integration, Ms SQL Server or Oracle and
Object Oriented Programming and SQL scripting
