export of fresh fruits and vegetables from Uganda-East Africa. It works with a

country-wide network of farmers who form the company’s supply base of produce.

The company works closely with this network of farmers to ensure the use of

high-yielding seeds and modern agronomical practices.

Summary: The IT Technical Support Specialist will be responsible for the proper

functioning of the computer systems of the company and its effective internet

connectivity

Key

Duties and Responsibilities: 

·        
Provide the daily operations, maintenance,

troubleshooting and security requirements for LAN/WAN.

·        
Provide technical assistance/support and problem

resolution for referred incidents as they come through the help desk.

·        
Render support and maintain in-house computer

systems, desktops and peripherals. This includes installing, diagnosing,

repairing, maintaining and upgrading all hardware and equipment will ensuring

workstation performance.

·        
Intuitively troubleshoot problem areas in a timely

and accurate fashion, and provide end user training and assistance where

required.

·        
Receive and respond to incoming calls, pages,

and/or e-mails regarding PC and/ or hardware problem.

·        
Evaluate, prioritize and respond to service

requests with a resolution

·        
Perform analysis and diagnosis of complex PC

problems for end users, and recommend and implement solutions.

·        
Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and

troubleshoot end user workstation software/ hardware, networked peripheral

devices, and networking software/hardware products.

Qualifications,

Skills and Experience: 

·        
The ideal candidate for the IT Technical Support

Specialist vacancy should have one  to

two years’ experience in IT Support

·        
The applicant should preferably hold an associate

Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or any other related field.

·        
Possession of professional Certification e.g.

CCNA, MCSA and MCITP, etc would be an added advantage.

·        
Prior experience with configuring and maintaining

IT infrastructure

·        
Excellent analytical skills.
