Set up by Royal (Amiri) Decree in July 2003, Etihad commenced commercial operations in November, 2003, and has gone on to become the fastest growing airline in the history of commercial aviation.Job Summary: The Etihad Airways Airport Duty Manager will be responsible to manage the airport operation on a shift basis ensuring that service delivery conforms to regulatory, operational, safety and customer service standards within a cost effective environment. Liaises with Airport Authorities and third party service providers ensuring that Etihad Airways ground handling requirements and customer service standards are met at all times. The incumbent also manages all elements of the ground operation whilst on duty.Key Duties and Responsibilities:  Deliver strong performance at the outstation, whilst managing relationships with relevant internal and external partiesEnsure 3rd party resources are utilized in such a manner that maximum revenue and productivity can be achieved within given constraintsEnsure that all airport activities are delivered safely and securely in compliance with Etihad corporate, local and CAR OPS regulatory standardsOversee and audit Service Level Agreements with Ground Handling AgenciesResponsible for the maintenance of Emergency Response and Business Continuity plansMake sure that opportunities to optimize airport revenues are identified and deliveredEnsure the Performance Management of team members is carried out in accordance with the Etihad Airways valuesEnsure that all ground services business is delivered in accordance with the Etihad valuesResponsible for the delivery of delay, disruption and diversion plansPerform any other ad hoc duties as detailed by the business as and when requiredQualifications, Skills and Experience:  The ideal candidate for the Etihad Airways job opportunity should hold relevant industry experience, with a demonstrable sound knowledge of airport operations and customer service.Four to five years working experience with an airline or ground handling agency.
