The MRC/UVRI Uganda Virus Research Unit on AIDS was established following a request in 1988 from the Uganda Government to the British Govemment for collaboration on the research of HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) infection and AIDS (Acquired Immunodeficiency The Unit is a centre of excellence in HIV/AIDS related research. It conducts large-scale epidemiological and intervention studies, clinical trials, virological and immunological research and behavioural studies, clinical trials, virological and immunological research and behavioural studies, and has generated a wealth of research results that have been used to inform policy and practice, and that have led to a large number of scientific publications in peer reviewed journals over time. The Unit based at Uganda Virus Research Institute (UVRI) In Entebbe invites applications from suitably qualified current staff of MRC/UVRI to fill the position below.  To oversee the stores and good receipting functions of the MRC and enter all transactions In the Microsoft Dynamics System (MSD) and ensuring that SOPs are followed at all times. To keep the stocks safe and secure ensuring that stores operations are run in an efficient and cost effective manner through strict adherence to policies in the receipt, storage, control and issuance of stocks.·         Bachelor's degree in procurement and supply chain management, inventory and stores management or a related field. ·         Professional qualifications in Warehousing and inventory management an added advantage. ·         At least three years' experience in a busy storel warehouse for a large organisation! institution ·         Training or working knowledge of the Microsoft Dynamics System - Warehousingilnventory module required. ·         This will be on a one year renewable contract subject to performance and availability of funds with a six months' probation.
