You will play a key role in tackling the root causes of hunger in Uganda. By being involved in all aspects of the project, you will use your problem solving skills to maintain a smooth running project in a difficult environment and foster strong relationships with the community.
Key activities in your role will include:Through discussion with staff and local community, you will facilitate defining and evaluating the security rules and procedures for Gulu and be responsible for implementing them on your base.Ensuring supply and procurement plans, planning staff movements and and maintaining equipment.Supporting and managing the daily needs of staff, planning overtime, holidays and R&R.Applying all Recruitment, Labor laws and other HR procedures on the base.Playing a part in the financial management on the base including book keeping, treasury forecasts, authorizations and accountancy.Actively representing ACF in Gulu’s community, creating strong relationship with partners, external actors, local population and beneficiaries.Working with different departments to coordinate activities such as fleet management, logistics and HRDoes this description fit you?You’re a seasoned Professional
You have an undergraduate degree or 3 years of experience in logistics/finance in a management role + 1 year of international work experience. Master degree in logistics field is a plusPrevious INGO experience in staff management, HR, Logistics, finance and Project Follow-upExperience of security and risk management within a volatile contextYou’re a super communicator
You enjoy building team spirit and as well as living and working with colleagues who do not speak your language fluently. You are used to explaining your work in non-technical terms.You are comfortable explaining policies & procedures to a team.You stay calm & like talking to colleagues to find solutions to their problems.You contribute to team reports & are able to succinctly summarize & analyze current field activities.You’re work style builds trust within your team
You are highly organized & pay attention to small details.
