innovative work in early grade assessment and learning, RTI is improving

education quality, relevance and efficiency through implementation of projects

funded by USAID, DFID, Australian Aid and other donors and clients. RTI

International is implementing the Uganda Literacy Achievement and Retention

Activity Project (2015-2020).


Job Summary: The Procurement and Logistics Officer will mainly

oversee the procurement of books and textbooks (including distribution of

these), office furniture, IT equipment, IT services, vehicles and coordinate

with IT department on shipment and receipt of IT equipment. The incumbent will

plan and organize daily, weekly, monthly and data collection and analysis,

quarterly projections for logistics needs and movement of personnel, and ensure

accurate inventories of RTI assets and resources.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • The ideal candidate for the USAID Project

    vacancy should hold a Bachelor’s degree

  • Two or more years’ experience in logistics

    or supply chain management;

  • Past experience working with USAID or

    other US government-funded projects desirable;

  • Possess strong organizational skills,

  • Possess the ability to multi-task, and be

    detail and deadline-oriented.
