Facilities Officer | - 2015



Reports to : Finance Manager Operations
Department : Finance


Responsible for planning, organizing and implementing the activities of the facilities
section using appropriate procedures/systems in place for effective performance.


Key Responsibilities


· Develops related budgets and oversees leasing contracts


· Coordinates the procurement of equipment for all offices;


· Manages third party service contracts including cleaning service providers and others
And directs preventive maintenance procedures for all facilities;


· Manages the rent payment, utility bills and rates for all offices;


· Oversees civil and Maintenance works for Umeme premises


· Ensures all office buildings, parking lots, store areas, grounds and equipment are well
Maintained and in optimal working conditions;



· Manages office space planning to ensure that the facility layout will accommodate
Present and future needs;


· Conducts periodic inspections of facilities, assesses problems and needs, and
Implements improvements in operations as appropriate;


· Ensures facility operations are in compliance with established health and safety
Procedures;


· Produces reports for senior management


Educational background & Experience:



· Bachelor’s degree in a Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Surveying
· More than three (3) years of Facilities Management in a commercial orientated
Environment.
· Knowledge of budgeting, service contracts and leasing agreements
