Job Summary: The Manager MIS & Enablement will support

the Bank in its operations management team by ensuring that data is readily

available analysed and easily interpreted. The incumbent will also co-ordinate

MIS from Team Leaders and Managers. The job holder will ensure full

understanding of systems used, validate the MIS and ensure that any errors are

Corrected. The incumbent will offer proactive support to Operations teams

on  MIS and Costs to understand gaps,

opportunities, local activity.


Key Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Keenly

    track and monitor service failures and support Management in addressing

    service failures through the relevant channels

  • Render

    analytical support to Operations Managers including analysis and insight into

    service management metrics that cover Service Level Agreements (SLA).

    Broken down to daily, weekly, monthly and adhoc reports

  • Ensures

    availability and updating of the metric model by all Team Leaders and

    Managers of departments to facilitate the collation of data.

  • Offers

    standard management reports and graphics to the department Managers which

    will form part of the daily department production meetings.

  • Management

    of the department interaction to ensure follow through and satisfaction

  • Assists

    the department managers in the development and interpretation of their

    respective metric data

  • Identifies

    and highlight problem trends for management decision making

  • Escalates

    complex matters to the appropriate areas for prompt decision-making and

    follow through to ensure that satisfactory resolution happens quickly

  • Monitoring

    adherence to cost management targets in all areas of operations

  • Tracking

    of Operations Financial Performance (actual spend versus budget), month on

    month per cost centre or enabler

  • Perform

    detailed review and analysis of Operations financials numbers to confirm

    the integrity of reported results; liaising with Finance to ensure that

    correct and reconciled records are maintained both at Operations and

    Finance

  • Proactive

    tracking of cost to ensure that correct cost is allocated to Operations

    Cost Centres

  • Perform

    rounded scenario and opportunity analysis to facilitate continuous

    improvement and cost management

  • Ensures

    effective, efficient and optimal utilisation of all resources (human and

    capital)

  • Come

    up with productivity and capacity measures to measure resource utilization

    within Operations

  • Capacity

    management, identifying areas with excess or shortage in capacity and

    coming up with resourcing plans to address the gaps

  • Provide

    the people metrics on cross/multi skilling analysis to ensure that staff

    are well oriented across all operations functions

  • In

    charge of the facilitation of a performance management and career

    development culture through mentoring and motivating in regular team and

    one-on-one meetings to ensure optimal performance and minimise staff

    turnover rate.


Qualifications, Skills and

Experience:  

  • The

    idea candidate for the Stanbic Bank Manager MIS & Enablement should

    hold a Business related degree with excellent data management and analysis

    skills.

  • At

    least three to five years’ experience in management reporting, data

    analytics and programming using SQL.

  • Detailed

    knowledge and understanding of the banking environment, ability to work in

    and manage teams, understanding of cost management practices with

    excellent computer skills.

  • Proven

    track record in handling stressful situations in environment governed by

    tight deadlines, high standards and significant work pressure.

  • Good

    understanding of multiple process and production interfaces across the

    Group to keep abreast of the wide and diverse number of communication and

    business initiatives that will impact on the executive team and on the

    event management plans.

  • Past

    project management skills and advanced business case development skills

  • Excellent

    needs analysis and diagnostic skills to interpret business and market

    requirements, incorporating an ability to build relationships and

    proactively sell ideas, concepts to the advantage of an integrated whole.
