Tango Consult

(T-cons) is a research, market research, advocacy and technical support

consultancy company registered and with offices in Uganda and South Sudan. It

has implemented several research, market research, perception surveys,

assessment, baseline studies, M&E, peace building, governance, natural

resources, human security, law reform, rule of law, human rights, business and

training projects in the Eastern Africa region. It has undertaken and

implemented projects and consultancies for the World Bank, EAC, EASF, IGAD,

ICGLR, RECSA, AWF, UNDP, CSOs, governments and international organizations

/NGOs.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

·        
Regularly recommend and incorporate cost saving

initiatives into budgets and control expenditure within approved parameters.

·        
Apply and ensure the application of financial policy

and procedures.

·        
Support with the budgeting and budget management

process.

·        
Assist with the implementation and ensure compliance

with statutory obligations.

·        
Actively monitor the maintenance and process distribution

of information according to financial procedure and client requirements.

·        
Analyse revenue and expenditure budgets to produce

budgeted financial statements for presentation to executive management.

·        
Closing and balancing of financial records at period

end according to organizational procedure (sub-ledgers).

·        
Manage the cash flow process and maintain efficient

and effective transactional processes.

·        
Offer support to programme managers and provide

guidance on good financial management.

·        
Invoicing of clients and debt collection

Qualifications, Skills and

Experience: 

·        
The ideal candidate should preferably hold a Degree

in Accounting

·        
At least five years’ accounting experience in

business, private sector and NGO Environment.
