specialist in coffee processing with a vision to be a leading African

agribusiness producing quality products for the global market and using trade

to bring about sustainable community development.


Job Summary:  The Cafe/Branch Supervisor will be responsible

for the day-to-day operations and customer service of the outlet.  The incumbent will also be in charge of the overall

management of staff in conjunction with the Outlet manager, handle complaints

and be person responsible in absence of senior managers.


Key Duties and Responsibilities: 


·        
Carry out daily briefs prior to each and every

service and liaise with Chef to be aware of any special dishes.


·        
Support in the planning and co-coordinating wine

lit/cocktail/food menus with the management team.


·        
Manage, supervise and mentor the staff on a daily

basis.


·        
Ensures that the outlet is opened and closed per

departmental security policies.


·        
Observes and recommends line-staff that require further

training and development to ensure proper and effective service.


·        
Support in maintaining high standards of quality

control, hygiene, and health and safety throughout.


·        
Partake in delivering training to all new front-line

staff (Cashier& waitrons)


·        
Working with other supervisors to coordinate all

aspects of stock deliveries and keep accurate and up to date records.


·        
To assist with weekly ordering so as to ensure that

stock levels are maintained and any special order for functions etc. are placed

in a timely manner.


·        
Guide customers on all F&B choices and ensure

the restaurant staff has similar product knowledge.


·        
Develops strong teamwork within the staff.


·        
Adheres to Company’s performance management

guidelines for all discipline and termination situations.


·        
Assists with scheduling front-line staff according

to staffing matrix.


·        
The incumbent will be tasked with acquiring a basic

understanding of the company budgets and profit and loss accounts


·        
Acts as the first point of contact when an employee

has a problem.


Qualifications, Skills and

Experience: 


·        
The candidate should preferably hold a Diploma in

hospitality, customer service and culinary arts.


·        
Knowledgeable about Substantial F&B product and

services in order to upsell and describe menu items.


·        
Excellent communication skills, tact and diplomacy.


·        
Excellent organizational skills


·        
Decision-making ability and problem-solving skills


·        
Excellent numerical skills


·        
Ability to lead and motivate teams and influence

people.


·        
Energy and stamina


·        
Working knowledge of Health and Safety Policy and

Security Procedures.


·        
Detailed knowledge of Rules and Management Policies
