LWF Uganda works to reduce people’s vulnerability, supporting them to realize their potential, to build on their assets, and to respond to their own problems and needs. LWF Uganda currently has five areas of operation in Pader, Kitgum, Adjumani, Katakwi, Sembabule, Kampala and Kamwenge Districts.Job Summary: The WASH Engineer will offer technical guidance to the WASH sectoral work that LWF is carrying out in Adjumani ProgramQualifications, Skills and Experience: The candidate should possess a good bachelor’s degree / Master’s in Water / Environmental Engineering or Management or Civil Engineering or Hydrology / Geology desirable; At least five years’ post-qualification professional experience in humanitarian work and significant understanding of pipe water supply and integrated water and sanitation and hygiene promotion programme for refugees in camps and rural situation; Working knowledge and recognized qualification in civil and public health engineering with good understanding of camp/ community, pipe water supply, sanitation and hygiene promotion; Past experience working in a WASH programme in a developing country, preferably in a humanitarian responseAll suitably qualified and interested applicants are invited to send their applications via email to recruitment@lwf.or.ug mentioning the title of job applied for in the email subject field.
