AGE: 30 years and above

Minimum Qualification:
The applicant should be a Ugandan of:
? An Honours Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University or institution plus a post-graduate qualification in Civil Engineering.
? Should have 9 years of experience in Civil Engineering two of which should have been at head of section level.
? Should be a registered Engineer.
? Should have management, interpersonal communication and leadership skills.
And able to coach and develop subordinates.

Duties of post:
? Planning and guiding the designing of the technical works in the District.
? Advising on the adequacy of safety measures at construction sites.
? Providing engineering and works advisory services to both District management and the community.
? Supervising all engineering works in the District to ensure qualitative work.
? Developing and maintaining a proper Road network including feeder roads.
? Acquiring, distributing and maintaining of building plants, heavy vehicles and other infrastructure promptly.
? Approving buildings and other structural plans appropriately.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Ugandans to fill the posts specified herein. Applications should be submitted in triplicate [3 copies) on PSF For 3 (PSF 3) (Revised 2008) to the Secretary, Rukungiri District Service Commission P. 0. Box 1, Rukungiri to reach him not later than 26th Nov 2010

Application Forms (PSF 3 and ESC Form No.3 (1998) in case of teachers) are attainable from the office of the Secretaries of District Service Commission Country wide and the Public Service Commission Kampala, Hand written applications, also in triplicate, are acceptable. Candidates should NOT attach original but only 3 Photostat copies of Certificates/Diploma/Degrees, Testimonials plus 3 coloured recent passport size photographs. Applications should bear the title of the post as well as the reference Number specified against vacancy. Serving Officers are advised to route their application through their Heads of Department and must be informed of the closing date to avoid delay.
