Organization: BBOXX Capital UK BBOXX Capital is a UK-Based company that designs, manufactures, distributes and finances solar systems across the developing world. With a vision to electrify 20 million people by 2020, the company has over 150 employees worldwide, 30 wholly owned shops across East Africa and over 45,000 solar systems sold through local businesses across the world. Job Summary: The BBOXX Managing Director will primarily oversee all areas of the business including retail & distribution, accounting, wholesale, technology and human resources and ensure compliance to all applicable national and international legislation. Key Duties and Responsibilities:  Oversee the relationships with all BBOXX partners in-country Assure the business complies with BBOXX policies and procedures such as Bribery Act, Employment Policies, Governance Policies as in the shareholding agreements of BBOXX and its subsidiaries Oversee the growth and operations of the retail network by implementing BBOXX Standards Operations Model and setting up hubs & shops in line with the targetsRepresent the BBOXX brand and maintain quality service by identifying market trends, analyzing and reviewing best customer service practices Make sure that recommendations on product improvement and technical reports are escalated to BBOXX Manufacturing Manage the finances of and prepare the business for internal and external audits Oversee management of HR to ensure appropriate recruitment, development and training in line with global HR structure and policies Implement the sales and marketing strategy for the country Develop and enforce local pricing model based on customer feedback and business performance targets Report on the company’s operations in a timely and accurate manner and produce investor reports as required Qualifications, Skills and Experience:  The Ideal candidate must possess a University degree in engineering or business administration with an excellent track record in senior management positions.S(he) must have at least 4 years of international experience and a minimum of four years working experience in Sub-Saharan Africa. Past exposure and experience in retail and/or credit is a plus. The applicants should be effective communicators with a “hands on” approach, excellent leadership skills, management experience and ability to motivate employees. Additionally, s(he) must be results oriented, creative, entrepreneurial and business-development skills. Excellent knowledge of English is a must.
