Our prayer for every Heart, the will to make it so.”Job Summary: The Program Officer will actively contribute to achieving WVU’s child wellbeing targets in designated cluster through planning, monitoring and implementing Health  programme in line with applicable technical approaches and WVU national strategyKey Duties and Responsibilities:  1. Project Planning and Implementation:Ensure that the cluster designs are in line with the Health national office strategyEnsure that Cluster Health project activities are integrated with other sectors and with the District development planSupervise and monitor ongoing activities under the Cluster health projectsCoordinate Cluster health projects being implemented by partners and technical resource persons.Initiate and participate in health district Advocacy initiativesEnsure cross cutting themes are mainstreamed in health projects.Ensure Health projects integrate and address child protectionWork with Child Sponsorship and Development Facilitator to ensure Registered Children and their households are participating and benefiting from health programme interventions.2. Capacity Building and Training:Actively participate in development /adaption of training curriculum/manuals for implementation in the program areaMobilization of and conducting trainings to build capacities on health models  Offer mentoring and coaching to district and community health technical personnel to build local capacity for understanding and connecting with community linkages.Liaise with the National Office technical specialists on staff capacity building in health programming3. Partnership and Networking:Identify and build strategic linkages, relations, collaborations and networks with partners and other stakeholders in implementation at the District level.Participate and represent WVU in key donor engagements and technical working forums at district, region and National level when applicablePoint of contact for consultation on issues to do with Cluster health programming.4. Research, M&E and Documentation:Effectively document all information related to project successes, innovations and promising practices and disseminate through appropriate mechanisms.Responsible for capturing child well being indicators related to health projects in the clusterEnsure identification of  research areas, conduct research and document learningsSpear head the Cluster health in output & outcome monitoring processesSupport processes of project baselines and evaluation of health projects and interventions.5.
