Senior Officer Integrated Programs - DCR (1 Position) Amudat

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Manager Integrated, the Senior Officer initiates and takes responsibility for overall planning, monitoring and implementation of the education, child protection, child rights governance, livelihoods and Food security, Health and Nutrition and HIV/AIDS interventions for children affected by conflict in the district. In addition, the person takes lead in coordination with partners in planning, implementation and monitoring of project activities as well as compilation of the project reports. The Senior Officer may be called upon as and when necessary to support the emergency team in cases of humanitarian crisis.

Academic back ground, Experience & Person Specifications;

Bachelors’ Degree in the field of Social sciences. A post graduate qualification or its equivalent will be an added advantage.Minimum of 3 years teaching experience working in the HIV and child protection project context.

General specifications applicable to all positions;

Experience of working with local partners and District Local Government in Child Rights Governance, Health, Nutrition, Education, HIV/AIDS or Child Protection is an added advantage.Strong analytical skills and strategic planning abilities.Ability to establish and maintain conducive collegial relations and perform effectively as a member of a team.Willingness to travel and work in hard-to-reach areas, occasionally under strenuous conditions.Computer literacy and excellent documentation skills are a must.Availability and willingness to work extra hours during times of humanitarian responses.Highly developed cultural awareness and ability to work well in an international environment with people from diverse backgrounds and culturesAbility to intervene with crisis management or troubleshooting as necessary.Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills including influencing, negotiation and coachingExcellent time management and planning capacity.Availability and willingness to work extra hours during times of humanitarian responses.
