In 2013, we reached over 143 million children through our work around 52m directly and 91 million indirectly around the world.Job Summary: The Senior Officer Education will be providing ongoing capacity support and coordination of the project partners with project planning, implementation, monitoring & evaluation and reporting. The Senior Officer is responsible for the direct supervision of the Education Programming activities, providing on-going, support in planning, implementation, monitoring & evaluation and reporting in regard to the execution of the Education activities within the vulnerable communities targeted by Save the Children. The incumbents will take responsibility for support of the Education Project to promote safe, supportive schools and communities that increase vulnerable and conflict-affected children’s participation. The jobholder is specifically oriented towards Basic Education and Early Childhood Care and Development and special attention will be made on Education sector in other core sectors of the organisation such as nutrition, health, Child Protection and child rights programing. The job holder may be called upon as and when necessary to support the emergency team in cases of humanitarian crisis.Qualifications, Skills and Experience: The applicants must hold Bachelor’s Degree in Humanities or a relevant discipline.
