Organisation: CIC Insurance Group LtdCIC Africa (Uganda) Limited ("the Company") was incorporated on 22nd August, 2014 as a joint venture CIC Insurance Group Ltd of Kenya, and the cooperative movement of Uganda. The Company was incorporated to carry on all kinds of insurance business and all kinds of guarantee and indemnity business.Job Summary: The incumbent will be responsible for revenue generation through direct sales by ensuring new business acquisition and retention, as well as training and supporting distribution channels in the area.Key Duties and Responsibilities: Pro-actively sell CIC products to clients within the assigned area, and achieve set sales targets i.e. monthly, quarterly, semi-annually or annuallyProspect for new clientsGiving premium quotations to clientsEnsure renewal follow up for customer retentionHandle all claim notifications and follow up expeditiously Delivering policy documents, receiptsDoing initial underwriting in the field -analyse risk and determine ratesIn charge of collecting premiums from customersDaily production reporting to Principal OfficerRepresenting the company in cooperative meetings and other meetings as may be assignedExecute area sales activities aimed at market penetration, knowledge of the company products and services within the assigned areaIdentify, engage and train potential distribution channels of CIC products.Actively monitor and support distribution channels by coordinating visits, and preparing regular progress reports on their performanceEnsure accurate and timely capture of all information regarding customers.Answer and clarify client queries, to liaise with the relevant offices and to follow up to ensure a satisfied clientele.Provide product and service feedback from clients and distribution channelsQualifications, Skills and Experience: The applicant should possess a good Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Sales, Business Management and Business Administration preferable.A minimum of two or more years in insurance sales or three years sales experience in other fieldsCOP professional qualification Additional qualifications in insurance, marketing and/ or social/community work an added advantageExcellent computer skillsExcellent negotiation skillsGood communication skillsExcellent training and presentation skillsHighly organised and dynamic Consistent and decisive Highly passionate about sales Exhibit commitment to succeed Highly confident Self-motivated Entrepreneurial skills All candidates who possess the necessary professional and academic qualifications are encouraged to send an updated resume to the address below indicating “Ref: Application for Head of Sales - Commercial Business” in the subject of your email the job title.Send to: The Group Human Resources Manager, CIC Insurance Group Ltd via E-mail to: recruitment@cic.co.keNB: Please note only short listed candidate will be contacted.
